Samsung Android 15 Update Issues Confirmed: When Will The New One UI 7 Version Release?

Samsung had to pause the Android 15 update rollout earlier this week after many users in South Korea were facing issues with the new One UI 7 version on their Galaxy phones. The company has been quoted confirming the issues without exactly sharing the details which suggests the official One UI 7 rollout for Galaxy users should happen soon.

Reports this week claim Samsung has observed serious bugs in the Android 15 update that was officially confirmed to roll out starting from April 7 but now those plans might have been pushed to a later date.

Samsung Talks About Android 15 Update Delay

Samsung has been quoted saying in a report by Android Authority where it clearly suggests there are some issues with the new version and it wants to offer the best and stable version of One UI 7 for its users. “The One UI 7 rollout schedule is being updated to ensure the best possible experience. The new timing and availability will be shared shortly," the company is quoted saying in the report.

Samsung introduced the One UI 7 version with the Galaxy S25 series in January this year but most of the other Galaxy flagship phone owners are still waiting for their first Android OS upgrade from the company.

The latest episode of Android 15 update delay for Samsung has come about after the rumours about the phone’s screen lock not working with the new update has been mentioned on the internet. The issue was mostly observed in the Exynos-powered Galaxy S24 models but the company probably didn’t want to take any chance and decided to call for a complete halt on the One UI 7 rollout.

The latest update from Samsung doesn’t really tell us much in terms of the timeline for the Android 15 update release but we are hoping that it is done in the next few weeks to keep its April timeline intact.

Fourth Time Lucky?

The brand has already offered the new update on the latest Galaxy phones, so why is the same OS facing bugs after a thorough test by the developer team? We are hoping Samsung does eventually decide to share the concerns raised by its customers and make sure they get the promised quota of 7 OS upgrades.
