Google Brings Gemini AI 2.0 Version For All Users: Here’s Everything New

Gemini 2.0 Launch: Google confirmed the Gemini AI 2.0 version this week which builds on the early promise of Gemini AI and brings more advanced features and powerful upgrades to the public. Google CEO Sundar Pichai has termed it as a “new agentic era" in technology and he might have plenty of reasons to say that about the new version.

Google is in a tough fight with OpenAI and now Apple in the AI race and these upgrades will be looking to make their mark over the next 12 months. The original Gemini AI came out in December last year, and now is the time to see what the company has been cooking for over one year.

Google Gemini 2.0 Features, Upgrades And More

Gemini 2.0 is built on a more powerful model, which means you get enhanced performance, more capabilities built into the AI tech and do its own work without any assistance. Google also claimed the 2.0 version matures from its predecessor to give you proactive and intelligent solutions for complex problems.

The Gemini 2.0 launch includes the release of the Flash model which now sits alongside the Nano, Pro and Ultra. Google’s second-most affordable AI model improves in imaging and audio processing that should help with a slew of AI tools from the company.

Google’s AI agent is also part of the new-look Gemini 2.0 version that is capable of taking over the web browser, Chrome in this case, and help you with tasks so that you can focus on other important stuff. This AI agent is also making its presence on the smart glasses, part of the Project Astra that was demoed at the Google I/O 2024 this year. These glasses will garner AI powers from Gemini 2.0 and integrate with Maps, Lens and more.

AI for games is another iteration of Google’s focus with a new tool called Jules. The AI assistant will help gamers choose items or actions in various titles.
