Elon Musk’s X Is Now Bringing A Separate App For Grok AI Chatbot: What It Offers

Elon Musk’s X is ready to take on Google and OpenAI with the Grok AI chatbot and now the platform is offering its AI assistant as a standalone app for iPhone users in select regions. The app has been spotted in beta version this week, which means you might expect the chatbot to have some range of errors and inaccuracies.

The AI chatbot from X has been around for a while, most of which was made available to those getting the X Premium+ plan. However, Musk decided to make it accessible to more users by removing the need to pay for X to use the AI tool.

Grok AI is now an extensive part of the X ecosystem and the X app interface on the web and the mobile app. This move for Grok AI makes it a viable challenger to Gemini and ChatGPT to some extent.

Grok AI App: Create AI Image, Answer Queries And More

Grok AI is doing all the tasks that you would expect from the new stable of AI chatbots. You can ask Grok to create images using text prompts, something that Dall-E 3 offers. You can ask questions and even get articles summarised, that you can ask Gemini or even Siri to do these days.

The sightings of the Grok AI app is primarily for iOS users and we still have no idea if X will make an Android app in the near future. In addition to the app, Grok is also building a website which might be available to a wider audience.

The free nature of Grok AI shows its true colours, as mentioned by the X users, who claim they can ask 10 questions to the Grok 2 AI model, while the same is limited to 20 questions for the Grok 2 mini model. You can also seek three image analysis requests per day.

The Grok 2 model is fairly new in terms of its adoption, and X is clearly looking to push its reach and training methods faster. Having a standalone app is part of that process and giving it accurate reading of its users and app spent time.
