Vivo X200 Series India Launch Expected Next Month But There’s A Catch

Vivo unveiled its new X200 series in China last month and reports suggest that the company is all set to introduce the smartphones in the global market soon. The new lineup includes the Vivo X200, X200 Pro and the X200 Pro Mini. While the official launch date of the Vivo X200 series is yet to be announced, a new leak suggests that it will be arriving in India sometime next month.

But latest developments hint at Vivo’s decision to not launch all the four models in the country. That’s right, Vivo might skip the X200 Pro Mini model for the Indian market. The details come via a report by 91 Mobiles which says Vivo will only bring the X200 and Vivo X200 Pro to India in December, and skip the X200 Pro Mini version for the country. We still don’t have an official confirmation regarding these rumours which should become clearer as we get closer to next month.

The X200 series comes packing with the Zeiss Optics sensors and also powered by MediaTek flagship chipset. Here are the details about the X200 and X200 Pro models that have been announced.

Vivo X200 Pro

The Vivo X200 Pro comes with a slightly bigger screen, 6.78-inch, as compared to the base variant with 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, providing a smooth and bright visual experience with up to 4500 nits of peak brightness. The Pro version also comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 9400 SoC for flagship performance.

As for the optics, the Vivo X200 Pro also comes with a triple rear camera setup, these are: 50MP Sony LYT-818 sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide lens and a new 200-megapixel Zeiss APO telephoto lens. Unlike X200, the Pro version packs a bigger 6,000 mAh battery and comes with a 90W wired charging support.

Both the devices run on Vivo's latest Origin OS 5, which was released recently. It includes AI capabilities such as the company's own version of Circle to Search and also have a Dynamic Island-like element dubbed Origin Island. The Indian variant will come with FuntouchOS version out of the box.
