iOS 18.2 Release Date Tipped With ChatGPT And AI Image Playground: Here’s When It Might Come

The iOS 18.2 release date is less than a month away, and iPhone users are eager to try out the new ChatGPT integration with Siri and other AI features. The iOS 18.1 version showed us the first set of Apple Intelligence tools for select iPhone models, and now things are finally picking up for the company as it gets closer to fulfilling its Glow time ambition.

The iOS 18.2 beta version has already given us a teaser of the new features to come, and reports this week say that Apple could be looking at a release date of around December 9 for the new iOS 18 version. Going by the recent update rollouts and their estimates, it is quite possible that Apple’s official release date will match out.

iOS 18.2 Release For iPhones: More AI Features Incoming

With the iOS 18.2 version, iPhone 15 Pro and higher models will be able to use Siri to pass on requests and tasks to ChatGPT which will then transmit data out of Apple’s server. Siri will also be able to take queries regarding the image open on the screen and give you the details. The Apple AI assistant will also support English in more countries, but still no sign of India, where the support is not expected before March next year.

That’s not all, Apple will allow iPhone users the power to create Genmojis with iOS 18.2 which till now is limited to viewing and knowing more details about them. iPhone users will also get new writing styles and tones where the AI engine will deliver the results.

The camera control button on the iPhone 16 and 16 Pro models will get new custom features to enhance the use case of the interface. And yes, the AI Image Playground from Apple will be available without any access permission for the eligible iPhone users.
